  26.      After almost two years of development, SCHAUZMOLL Soft is
  27. now ready to introduce you to the next level of Atari computer
  28. tele-communication. The ORBIT System TIMS is a fully
  29. multi-tasking communication system with a Graphic User Interface
  30. offering a multitude of features not available in any other Atari
  31. 'BBS' software. Hold on to your mouse and get ready to step into
  32. a higher Orbit!

  36.      The SysOp side: No, it's NOT a "BBS" program...
  37.  
  38. The ORBIT System Station allows you to operate a
  39. tele-communication system with up to 4 phone lines using an Atari
  40. TT030 computer. System users will be able to access integrated
  41. message bases, file sections, FAX stations, data bases,
  42. electronic magazines, surveys, CD-ROM, Buy&Sell sections or
  43. simple ASCII texts in a way that makes it easy to locate and
  44. process information. The system also offers a feature that makes
  45. it possible to charge a fee for accessing certain information,
  46. this fee is then substracted from a user account. An On-line
  47. ordering system is also available, you can insert lists of
  48. products that users can order, and the system will then produce an
  49. invoice for that order, as well as letting you know when stocks are
  50. low. On-board alarm system for your house is also included, it
  51. can be hooked up to an already existing system or used as your
  52. new home alarm system connected to the joystick port 1 of your
  53. computer. Another exotic feature is the ability to connect many
  54. ORBIT Systems together and enable real time chat between the
  55. systems' phone lines. Users connected to different lines at the
  56. same time can Cut & Paste using the standard Atari clipboard via the
  57. ORBIT Station, making it possible for 2 users to work on the same
  58. Atari Works Document together and at the same time. FAX's can be
  59. generated and sent by the Station with the help of the STraight
  60. FAX! FAX program. A user just has to send a STraight FAX!
  61. compatible file and the Station will instruct STraight FAX! to
  62. convert and send it according to the time, date and phone number
  63. selected. A cover page is automatically generated for greater
  64. user friendliness. A special feature called "Commercials" lets
  65. SysOps sell advertising time on their Station. Those
  66. commercials are made up of texts and/or images that are displayed
  67. to on-line users for a certain amount of time (like on TV!). All
  68. this in a multi-tasking, user friendly, fully GEM environment.

  70. This software is made up of about 200 separate short programs
  71. that are capable of running at the same time - about 70 of those
  72. programs run in their own separate GEM window ... in fact
  73. everything in Orbit runs in a window: from the Quit Box to the 
  74. User Editor. The only way you can see an alert box is by reaching
  75. the maximum number of windows your system can open. If you run
  76. the Station under Geneva you can have 74 open windows on your
  77. desktop (if you have a desktop this big!) None of the ORBIT
  78. System windows will freeze the computer, and you'll always be
  79. able to access the menu bar, your accessories or launch another
  80. program while running the ORBIT System TIMS under Geneva.

  85.      The User side: Yes, it's like a real program!
  86.  
  87. The ORBIT System Satellite is very user friendly ... in fact,
  88. it's so user friendly that you will never need a manual to learn
  89. how it works. If you do something wrong the Satellite will
  90. alert you and tell you how to fix it right away. There is also
  91. very extensive on-line help. Message posting and recovery can all
  92. be automatically done without user supervision. There is an
  93. off-line message reader and off-line library catalog. The message
  94. editor lets you print your message using GDOS or SpeedoGDOS.
  95. There is background file transfer for downloading or uploading
  96. while you are doing something else on the Station (like reading
  97. messages). The Satellite can not only be used to call an ORBIT
  98. Station but it can also communicate with another ORBIT Satellite
  99. to transfer files, chat or cut&paste using the Atari clipboard.
  100. It will also just sit there and wait for an ORBIT Station or
  101. Satellite to call and transfer files or E-mail without user
  102. supervision. Archiving is also very simple with ORBIT. You can
  103. send a FAX even if you do not have a FAX modem, just send a file
  104. to the nearest ORBIT Station offering the FAX service!

  135.     - This software is heavily protected against piracy. It will
  136.       dial a phone number in Quebec City, Canada 6 times per year
  137.       and YOU MUST AGREE TO PAY ALL resulting long distance
  138.       charges. The call will last 30 seconds only but most phone
  139.       companies have minimum charges of one minute. 
  140.     - You will never know when those calls will be made and they 
  141.       must all be completed successfully without interruption. 
  142.       This is the only way the program will run without 
  143.       interruption. 
  144.     - When the calls take place you have the option to 
  145.       automatically download the latest version of the Orbit 
  146.       software for auto-installation...

  148.           - 4 phone lines system requires a Atari TT030 computer
  149.           - 3 phone lines system requires a Atari MEGA STE computer
  150.           - 1 phone line system can use any Atari computer

  152. - The computer must have 2 megabytes of memory (4 recommended)
